This is a good tool used to scan your HDD's for errors, bad sectors or general health.
Start > type cmd > 'Run as administrator' > now within CMD type: chkdsk C: /f/r > and this will prompt you to confirm on next reboot if you would like to scan you C: drive.
Press yes to confirm and on next reboot your HDD will be scanned.
