Windows 8 slow bootup Performance Recorder & Analyzer

download Microsofts Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK)

this is a very large install

select just the performance toolkit and assessment toolkit (approx. 2Gb)
wpr -disablepagingexecutive on
restart
don't forget to turn off when finished

wprui.exe
select I/O Activity
select boot (make sure it says logging mode file and instance 1 or it will reboot 3 times)
select start
it will reboot
wprui.exe and stop the trace

wpa.exe
open the file created
normally in \users\<name>\Documents\WPR Files
hopefully you'll see whats causing the delays
