Well the iPhone 5 is out but as yet no jailbreak is available.

tethered jailbreak availabe, but Apple now on 6.0.1 but no real jailbreak available yet

Well work is still on going and 6.1 is due out soon, again tethered JB available for 6.0.1 on earlier chipsets
please be patient

The dev guys are still working on an untethered JB but Apple are making it difficult (new security additions)
dont upgrade to 6.0.2 or 6.1 (if you can hold off) as this might block JB when available

Untethered jailbreak working on 6.0.1/2, but not going to be released until 6.1. The jailbreak people are unwilling to loose this "bug" jailbreak option as its such a good one, and want to keep it to allow further access to the devices and software to allow future "bug" findings which will lead to new JB's

Ok the jailbreak guys (@planetbeing and @pod2g) are awaiting the release of IOS 6.1, they have a number of methods to an untethered JB on all devices(loose term), so watch this space when 6.1 is finally release by Apple

OK 6.1 has been released and deemed JB proof (ok to update), JB team Evad3rs say an untethered JB should be available sometime this week, more than likely on sunday, but its on its way
